We have taken a drive to Newhaven which is where the bridge from the mainland joins the island. The first plaque we see is in rememberance of the old bridge. We are able to walk under the new bridge to continue our walk along the coast and on the beach.

Walking round towards the yacht club we spot a bird that we haven’t seen before.Mum looked them up later and they are ‘Baird Geese’.

Our last place to visit is Penguin Parade on the west of the island. You can pay to come and see them in the evening but i am not allowed so we have just taken a drive upto Nobbies centre which is in the National Park. We saw some baby chicks.

Back to the caravan site to find three families all from the same family each with three plus kids had taken residence in the bays around us. Thank goodness we leave tomorrow morning.
